Didn't account for the cleanup, or the time the person couldn't use the computer

General (any task)

Situation
Handing an AI a batch of checks to run on a computer that other people also use.
What the AI did
To go faster, it ran many jobs at once. The machine slowed down until the checks themselves failed. The person couldn't use the computer the whole time, and the mess from the failed runs was left behind.
How to ask next time (the site author's example)
"Run heavy checks one at a time, not in parallel. Before starting, tell me how long it will take and how much of the computer it will use. When you finish, delete the temporary files you created."
One question to ask
Before starting: how long will it take, how much of the computer will it use, and what will it leave behind?
Check it yourself
Before a long run, list the temp folder and the working folder; afterwards list them again and compare. Anything new you didn't ask for is leftover.
