Called an estimate "measured," and it was far off

Computer maintenance

Situation
Cleaning up a shared folder. So that someone could choose what to run, the AI showed how much space each option would free.
What the AI did
It labeled one option "measured: frees a lot of space," but a counting error had included too many files. When that option was run, it freed about 1/20 of the estimate.
How to ask next time (the site author's example)
"For each number in the options, say how you counted. If you ran a small test, give that result. If it's an estimate, call it an estimate."
One question to ask
Did you measure this number, or is it an estimate?
Check it yourself
Run du -sh yourself on the exact paths the option would delete; that is the most it can free. After the real run, compare df -h with the number from before.
