Showed one venue name the same way in two schedules for different readers
Scheduling and messages
- Situation
- Making two versions of a community event schedule: one by group, for members, and one by staff member. The main venues were full, so one group's activity was assigned to the room that group always meets in.
- What the AI did
- It listed that room under its official booking name in both tables, like any other venue. That was right for staff, but in the group's table it looked like a move, so members couldn't tell they could stay put.
- How to ask next time (the operator's example)
- "Read the same information in each reader's table, one at a time, and check that it reads correctly from each reader's point of view."
- One question to ask
- Who reads this schedule, and what does each of them want to know?
- Check it yourself
- Pick one row and read it as each reader would: "So where do I go at 10?" If any reader's answer is wrong or unclear, that row needs wording for that reader, such as "your usual room."
