Situation: After asking a person to confirm something, the AI keeps working while waiting for the answer.
What the AI did: It didn't notice the person had already answered and moved ahead on its own reading. The answer was different from that reading.
How to ask next time (the operator's example): "For anything you asked me to confirm, check for a reply before taking the next step. If one came, follow that answer."
One question to ask: Has a reply come in, and where would it show up?
Check it yourself: Before reading the AI's next step, look at your own latest reply and check that the step follows it. You can ask the AI to quote that reply at the top of each step, or say "no reply yet."
