Put a note where readers would take it for a note on a different number

Situation: Adding a note to a heading that lists several numbers on one line.
What the AI did: It put the note at the end of the line, so it looked like it was about the last number. It was actually about a different one.
How to ask next time (the operator's example): "Put the note right next to the number it refers to. Check that someone seeing it for the first time won't mistake which number it's about."
One question to ask: Which number does the note sit right next to?
Check it yourself: Show the line to someone who hasn't seen it, or to a new AI chat with no context, and ask "Which number is this note about?" If the answer is wrong, move the note.
